  1. These are very nice shots; the one of the church above the bay in particular. I have never been to the Azores but it does look well worth a visit. I do though remember with pleasure those distinctive patterns of black and white stone block paving from visits to Lisbon.

    • Thank you! Yes, one always knows when one is in a Lusophone country or place when there are black (or grey) and white cobbles on the squares or pavements (sidewalks). I saw them in Sao Paulo (Brazil), and you even find them in Goa, which used to be a Portuguese colony! Love them!!
